China's Strategy Renaissance
China is not a country where influence can be freely wielded. But that doesn't mean influence strategies aren't at play in China . In fact, for precisely these reasons, China is a fascinating laboratory for observing the plays and playmakers of this much-discussed country.
In China, we are witnessing an influence renaissance, where government, businesses and citizens are running plays - both collaborative and confrontational - all for competitive advantage. Here's proof:
- China's proverbs are cleverly-applied Labels that drive an agenda.
- China's propensity to selectively Filter information is second-to-none.
- The Chinese Communist Party's ability to Recast events in its favor is becoming increasingly sophisticated.
Using playmaker's parlance, this blog will illustrate how China is advancing agendas, de-positioning rivals, embracing allies and owning discussions--and to what strategic effect. We hope you learn, enjoy and contribute.
