Kucinich Enters 2008 Race; Both Sides Rejoice

Dennis Kucinich announced his candidacy for the 2008 Presidential election, a straightforward Fiat . While few believe Kucinich can win, his candidacy can benefit both sides.

Watch for each to run Plays involving the Ohio Democrat. His announcement is sure to be applauded by Republicans, who can use Kucinich’s extreme viewpoints on the Iraq War – essentially, bring the troops home now and damn the consequences– to Label all Democrats as “Cut and Run Liberals.”

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama can also use Kucinich to their advantage. Look for the Democratic frontrunners to Screen off his extremism, thus framing themselves as less liberal than Kucinich, closer to the center, and therefore more electable. It seems this is a candidate that both sides will embrace, not in a gesture of support, but as a means to advance their own agendas.
